Wonder where to look

Everyone has become a cook

Cooking up a broth

Spicing it till it produces a froth

Blubber blubber blubber

Chatter chatter chatter

Hiss hiss hiss

Psst psst psst

Judging and condemning

Are you perfect brother?

Hush! Hush now

Enough of that

What of your book?

Pages so dirty!

Obnoxious in all pages

Yet you hide

Behind a mask

Shut up! Will you?

Just to let you know

My foolishness I forgave

It was all a bluff

Don’t stay locked man!

Free yourself

Hide no more

Wadding in a muddy swamp

Mad so black…

Blacker than coal

MUTHONI NYAGA

When the sun is all bright

All is going to be all right

Holding me with a might

Runs away every fright

A grip so tight

That even by the night

When gone is the light

Still at His sight

Assured me than a times eight

That He is going to fight

Yes, I know it’s all right

Wind though it blows

Mind never bows

Bound are the vows

Dried be the land, my sail still rows

Moistened not be the earth, my fountain still flows

Darkened be the days, heart still glows

Whispered that though sharp the claws

Sharpened are His, than mightiest paws

Awed, He has in daily dawns

Victored assurance by the trumpet blows

Anchored ship, in storm not sways

MUTHONI NYAGA

If you are that darling

Thats so charming

That makes me smile

When days are bitter as bile

If you are that dear

Then you wouldn’t dare

Leave me so bare

You’d look into my eyes

Though cold as ice

And tell me the sky is no longer blue

Was just a speck so easily you blew!

Was just another kiss

That you wouldn’t miss

Was just another play

Like an ordinary day

If you are the sweetest

One and only greatest

Then you’d whisper

Wouldn’t have to titter

                                                                                   Wouldn’t have to die

For so many a lie

For you like them all

With their ego standing so tall

Picking every other flower

To be your follower

Counting the dates

As you head to Hades

I, would look into your eyeball

So true in your heart tell you all

Your words tell to the wind

Lest you lose your mind

For they are like a modeless song

That one wouldn’t listen for long

MUTHONI NYAGA

Throughout this while, I wait

For promises to fulfill, I wait

Though no sunshine, I wait

And the smile faded, I wait

And the blows raining, I wait

The wounds bleeding, I wait

The heart aching, I wait

The soul searching, I wait

For that titter a joy, I wait

Even though a minute, I wait

My grave digging, I wait

Watching you plucking, I wait

Every other flower, I wait

And the tears drying, I wait

In my pillow soaking, I wait

And my eyes reddening, I wait

And the scars forming, I wait

Earnestly praying, I wait

That this spell be broken, I wait

I daily hope, that your touch, I wait

Be a touch, a blow blown I wait

By the winds, I wait

Hear your tender words, I wait

Not your din ringing, I wait

For you to stand, I wait

For good and for bad, I wait

In sickness and in health, I wait

In poverty and wealth, I wait

“You to be mine”, I wait

“Forever mine”, I wait

“And only mine”, I wait

Till death does us apart, I wait

Throughout this while, I wait

Though no sunshine, I wait

THOUGHTS…

Thoughts so painful

Thoughts a bliss

Thoughts wondering

Thoughts pondering …

MUTHONI NYAGA

My beloved where is He?

That makes this She

Heart so beat

Mind not fit

Dreams to dream

Hopes to the brim

Whose kiss...

Is more a bliss

Whose touch …

Many a feelings hatch

Whose smile...

Sends an ecstasy more than a mile

Is asking to pluck this flower tonight

Been asking for a fortnight

This flower…

This lovely flower…

Is not willing to depart

And be set apart

From where ‘tis rooted

Petals that are dotted

With heavenly dews

Don’t want to feel no hues

For once plucked

And the petals touched

They so  black

And gloomily slack

Thrown into the bin

Seeing it a sin

Yet more flowers bloom

Popping with a beauty boom

This thorns I beg shield

That the pluckers’ strength may not yield

MUTHONI NYAGA

To my last dance, dance I beg

Dance; dance till you sprain your leg

Into my eyes look

Read my thoughts like a book

Tell me what you see

Yourself in me?

Like the fruit of the vine

So are you mine

Chef-d’oeuvre red wine

So are you so fine

Draw me close to you so

Hears the silence of your heart Chico

Lilly in my valley

My souls sole truly

Thou holds me sway

Visions like a ray

Spell of the midnight chime

Forever let’s steal the time

Spasms in my blood

So does my heart flood

Doom or gloom

Beauty so refine

Words can’t define

My daily wine and bread

Every day path I tread

When you’re away

Can’t find my way

Bright as sunlight

Dazzle of the moonlight

Your heart don’t hide

Say all with many a pride

MUTHONI NYAGA

Hell I said I was proud

Saying it so loud

My, was I dazed

So, was I amazed

Boy was I blind

So out of my mind
Now I laugh

'nd if that’s not enough

I wonder

 Daily I ponder

Give me back the time

And every single dime

That on you I spent

For it were never meant

Bring that portion

For I’ve found a solution

So strong a concussion

To elude that poison

For you spent a million

Instead could have saved a trillion

On that night

Under the moonlight

Almost fell
For your spell

Had to fight

With all might

Almost thought it was true

But I figured out the clue

Eyes so full of lust

Then I knew it wouldn’t last

'T was all a fairy tale

In an imaginary diary page

MUTHONI NYAGA

Let myself loose

Stray like a goose

Thinking was a rose

But ‘tis bitter most dose

That was so fly

Feeling so high

That drove me was lust

To something that so would easily rust

MUTONI NYAGA

I saw them as a bother

While they tried to be a brother

Trying to get a solution

And come to a conclusion

Not for their own sake

 But for my own make

Arrogantly I wanted to give a cold shoulder

But I thought and saw them as a molder

Trying to mould this pot

But the pot would hear not

Never more did the molder mould modestly

True in heart doing it so earnestly

Though a stone my heart

Their words did hurt

I’ll try my best

To pass the test

For she said as the days go by

I will know why

Why she so sang

And it would hit me like a bang

And I know they love me so

They have a lot of care

For why would they dare?

If they cared not

 They would let me rot

A comfort that before I could not see

They saved me from the drowning sea

My gratitude many like the stars

A puzzle that had so many gaps

Is now filled

 And I feel fulfilled

FORGIVE ME I PRAY

A million times I said I’m sorry
But I’m still with worry
Will He forgive?
They still itch me on my nerve
They run in my dreams
They attach to my picture frames
Feel it in my heart
Before Him I feel like a drenched cat
My tears pour
My life so sour
In my heart a burden heavy
I look up to the heavenly
The light my eyes scorch
Father reduce the fire of your torch!
Oh  that I may speak
And your mercies seek

In those eyes he said I’m beautiful
In those eyes I was his belle
In those eyes he said joy I bring
In those eyes I thought love he brought back
For I had cried when  I lost Ben
For some time I even turned away  Bob
But here came Billy
And love he assured he’d bestow
In those eyes in that dark night
In those eyes I felt it was right
In those eyes  as he held me so tight
In those eyes I gave in with no fight
I danced with the moon
I danced with the  sun
I danced to a not glorious hymn
I danced all night till noon
A flower blossomed
Billy to him I said my flower blossomed
Said Billy that the flower ought to die
Billy, I said to him the flower can’t die
For its petals near blossom
And to its sight the world will be brought
Billy changed his sight
‘Twas no longer those eyes
Soon the flower came to be
And though was his seed
Oh those eyes that I saw
Love I thought I saw
Look at what I now sough
A seeded flower
Yet with no seed
‘Tis the seeder who rejected his own
